DOCTOR’S INPUT

I had a long conversation today with my doctor about diabetes treatment plans. I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can. I'm so glad my doctor is as patient as she is. There are so many different options and choices. If I didn't have her input it would've been too overwhelming. She was willing to sit with me and discuss every single one of them until I felt like I understood them well enough to make a decision. The way it looks, the choices I've made for my treatment plan aren't going to interfere too much with my day-to-day activities so I'm really grateful about that. I'm especially glad it won't be too overwhelming or distracting because I already have my hands full with the new job I started. It's pretty exciting! I always wanted to work for a magazine and that opportunity finally crossed my path. Maybe it's partially because of the diagnosis, but I feel especially qualified because it's a health magazine. I'll have an interesting perspective to contribute. There is a monthly column that the magazine devotes exclusively for people who have diabetes to address whatever concerns they may have. This job couldn't have been a more perfect fit!
