Free test strips came with the diabetic testing meter and supplies my doctor gave me after my latest checkup. I asked him why he gave all that to me since I didn’t have diabetes nor did my father or anyone else in my family who could pass it down to me. My doctor shrugged and said that he got all these test strips and testing meters for free from various companies and that he didn’t have enough diabetic patients to give them to. So he started giving them away to his other patients. They could do whatever they wanted with them so long as they didn’t try jabbing someone with the little needle or breaking the meter over someone else’s head or something violent and harmful like that. I asked if he were giving these away to little kids as well, but he laughed at that and claimed he was still giving them candy. I don’t know if I believed him or not. Giving away diabetic supplies like that is weird enough. He could be giving away stethoscopes to children for all I know. One thing is for certain though. I need a new doctor as soon as possible. I doubt anyone can blame me.
