HOLIDAY FOODS

Did I ever blow my diet this holiday weekend! I cannot resist pumpkin pie, candied sweet potatoes, turkey and gravy and all the rest of the goodies my family makes for Thanksgiving dinner. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The trouble is that I enjoy it too much. I start out by snacking on the food my family starts preparing on the night before. I have a cookie or two, okay sometimes three. I don’t exercise either. I am too busy watching television with my feet up. I am a busy executive and this is the only time I get to relax. I try to put work out of my mind for the holidays but my family tries to remind me that executive health is really important; there is no holiday for fitness. On Thanksgiving itself, I really pig out. I love turkey, which is good for me, but I also like the gravy and all the other delicious, but unhealthy food we share with family members. Then the rest of the weekend I keep on eating all the leftovers. I guess I better start watching my diet before the next holiday comes along. Mmm candy canes and chocolates, more of my favorites!
