MINERAL DEFICIENCIES

Hair loss always has been a major concern to adults and young adults. However child/pet hair loss has never been given that importance. Hair loss in children as well pets has been quite rampant. There are many children who suffer with alopecia. Although most of the children recover from alopecia when they grow up, without any treatment a huge number still suffers from it even after growing up. Unlike common conception alopecia in children is not caused because of cold weather, vitamin and mineral deficiencies or hats and headbands. The main cause for the hair loss in children is due to fungal infections. However if there is acute deficiency of vitamins and minerals a child may suffer from hair loss. If the disease is not treated at early stage then it may turn quite embarrassing for the child when he/she grows up. Pets like dog or cat also suffer from severe hair loss. Hair loss in pets is mostly caused by germ infestation. Hair fall in pets can also make the owners ill. It is advisable that proper care of the pets are taken and they are regularly cleaned. Hair loss in pets can also be due to lack of proper diet. It is best to consult a veterinary doctor if the pets start suffering from hair loss.
