MY BROKEN FOOT

It can be very tiring to live in the Atlanta Senior Living Home. It’s like my life is just a routine, where I wake up in the morning, eat, and sleep. One day I woke up from my daily nap and as I was stepping out of my bed, my foot landed in something really cold. I then slipped and fell backward! It really hurt! I yelled out to my nurse, Betty Jones, and she came running into the room. I told her that as an eighty five year old woman, I am very prone to hurt myself. I think I slipped on the water that I spilled the previous night. At least I didn’t break anything, but my nurse insisted that I rest in bed for a few days. She looked at my back and made a face. I had a nasty big black and blue mark! This made it really hard for me to rest that night, and I kept on tossing and turning everywhere because I couldn’t find a good position to sleep in. After an uncomfortable hour, I finally fell asleep. The next day I didn’t want to fall asleep. Actually, I refused to get into my bed. The nurses had to tie me down and sedate me heavily, for I was thrashing about everywhere and I almost hit one of the nurses. It seems a little bit harsh, but it worked. I didn’t feel a thing.
