TAKING THE PRESSURE OFF
My niece just called me to let me know her brother was in the hospital. I was saddened to hear that he was ill. He didn’t look so well when we had dinner last week but insisted everything was fine. He is an executive for a big company and is always on the go. His job is anxiety filled and I know he has a lot of stress. He never seems to take the time to take care of himself. My nephew eats on the run and that is usually in fast food places, never has time to exercise and usually is so stressed out he has trouble sleeping. I heard that executive health is a big concern for companies now days. The fast-paced life is taking a toll on everyone. Some executives are so busy with their work they don’t even give a thought to their own health. My nephew’s doctor told him he has to pay more attention to nutrition and has started him on an exercise program. He told my nephew he should give some thought to taking a stress management class to learn to control the pressures in his life. I sure hope my nephew takes his doctor’s advice.
